Review of article : "A Model for Effective Online Instructional Design" by Li-Ling Chen

A Model for Effective Online Instructional Design  1. Despite the rising popularity of online learning, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is crucial to create excellent online instruction to guarantee that students meet their objectives. 2. The article suggests a four-phase paradigm of analysis, design, development, and evaluation for successful online instructional design. 3. The analysis phase entails examining the learners' needs, the instruction's objectives, and the environment in which it will be delivered. 4. The design step entails creating an outline for the teaching, which includes the content's structure and arrangement, the instructional techniques to be applied, and the assessment techniques. 5. The actual instructional resources, such as films, activities, and evaluations, are created during the development phase. 6. In the evaluation phase, the effectiveness of the lesson is evaluated, and any improvements that are required are made.

Why Instructional Pedagogy in Nepal?

Instructional pedagogy is a critical component of education in Nepal. It plays a vital role in helping learners develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed academically and professionally. There are several reasons why instructional pedagogy is essential in Nepal.      Firstly, Nepal has a diverse population with different cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Effective instructional pedagogy can help educators tailor their teaching approach to suit the individual learners' needs and ensure that they are achieving the learning objectives. This means that learners from different backgrounds can benefit from a learning environment that is customized to their specific needs.      Secondly, instructional pedagogy can help learners develop critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. These skills are essential for success in both academic and professional settings. By using active learning, technology, formative assessment

ADDIE model for Instructional Design

Source: Venngage ADDIE model is a popular instructional design framework used to create effective training and learning materials. ADDIE stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Analysis: The first step is to analyze the training needs and identify the goals and objectives of the training. This includes assessing the learners' knowledge, skills, and attitudes, as well as the learning environment and the resources available. The analysis phase typically involves conducting a needs assessment, identifying performance gaps, and defining the learning objectives. Design: The second step is to design the training program based on the analysis conducted in the first step. This involves developing a blueprint for the training program that outlines the learning outcomes, instructional strategies, and assessment methods. The design phase typically involves creating a detailed course outline, selecting instructional methods, and developing assessment s
